What makes this book so powerful is the author’s personal story. The first few chapters, in which he narrates his journey of transformation, is worth the entire price of the book! Quakers call this an “opening,” which describes a time of spiritual growth and enlightenment. Mark’s story is clearly one of those.

My subconscious, involuntary response thus far to reading this painstakingly well constructed book has been to rock back and forth while bending at the hip at a repetitive quickened pace. This book has me standing before God at the Temple Mount, the separation wall, and the apex of the cross all at once. I simply cannot begin to express my gratitude for this meaningful experience!
